SAMIYA was born from the deep desire of our hearts of sharing our tropical flavors, through the manufacturing of processed food products made from plantains coming from Ecuador – the middle of the world!

Our history dates back to 2007 as a family business passionate about the countryside and its traditional food products. Since our very beginnings, we have offered our products internationally by selling under the name of renowned brands owned by our clients. Following our hearts in 2017, we jumped-off the cliff and founded SAMIYA in the pursuit of getting closer to you and turning your everyday moments into delightful experiences topped with amazing flavors!

closer to the land

If there’s something that we are as passionate about, as for our products, that’s the place where their ingredients come from: the land! We are aware that you can’t get something from nothing so this is why we take special care of the farms that supply our fruit. We frequently visit our growers to make sure they comply with specific quality parameters that will result in fruit that meets the standards we require to make our delicious maduros and tostones!

By working closely to our network of growers, we provide training sessions that encourage them to adopt sustainable farming practices such as using cover crops, composting their organic waste, reducing use of synthetic products and promoting biodiverse agro ecosystems by protecting natural surroundings. As challenging as it gets, we take pride in the efforts we undertake to turn our supply farms into more socially responsible and eco friendly food systems. Sharing our knowledge with our growers nurtures their minds and drives us to achieving better farming practices that protects the soil we get our food from.
