Are plantains same as bananas?

Nope, they are not! Relative to the same family – Musaceae - each one belongs to a different species. Bananas are commonly eaten raw have a higher fructose content (sugar in fruits) whereas plantains are commonly cooked before being eaten.

Where is SAMIYA located?

We are located in Ecuador right on the sun-kissed fields of the Pacific Coast.

Where does our palm oil come from?

All, a hundred percent, of our palm oil comes from Ecuadorian farms. No palm oil sourcing from other parts of the world, just locally grown and responsible sourced oil for the great tasting products we make.
